HAWAII COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
Hey Seniors! Be sure to check out the Hawaii Community Foundation Scholarship. The deadline is February 20, 2014. However if you can complete the application by January 31 and submit it, the committee will look over your application and let you know if you are missing any documents. The personal essay should be 2 pages maximum or 1200 words. The questions you should cover in your essay are:
~ What are your reasons for attending college?
~ Why did you choose your course of study?
~ What career goals do you have?
Include other information that will demonstrate that you are a worthy scholarship recipient. Describe any outstanding attributes and talents.

Also, everything must be submitted online so you will need to let your recommenders know that and also get your transcript be sent electronically. Don't wait till the last minute and stress yourself out.
Don't forget to do your FAFSA also, because you need to submit your student aid report to them as well. Use your parent's 2012 tax return and when they complete their 2013, just go in and submit corrections to your fafsa. See Mrs. Yamamoto in the Transition Center if you need help.
