Attention Seniors:
Are you the first in your family to attend college? Is UH Hilo your first choice and have you been accepted? Is your cumulative GPA 3.0 and above? Have you taken the SAT or ACT? Do you demonstrate financial need?
If you said yes to all of the above, then apply for the Dorrance Scholarship. It is an $8000 a year scholarship which is renewable for 8 semesters and estimated to be worth more than $60,000. You will be housed in the dorms your freshman and sophomore year and be able to travel and participate in a lot of cultural enrichment activities, community outreach opportunities and have tutoring and mentoring.
